Tripura CM discusses development projects with PM Modi in New Delhi

Agartala, Feb 15 (UNI) Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Saturday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence and held an elaborate discussion on the crucial developmental issues, including strengthening ties between the state and centre.

The officials here said, “During the meeting, the chief minister extended an invitation to Prime Minister Modi to inaugurate the newly redeveloped Mata Tripureswari temple at Matabari, which is a symbol of the state's rich cultural heritage, and the Prime Minister's presence would be a testament to the temple's significance.”

Dr Saha also conveyed his warm regards to Prime Minister Modi for the success of the Delhi assembly elections, putting the people's budget and his successful trip to France and the USA. The Chief Minister acknowledged the Prime Minister's efforts in promoting India's interests on the global stage.

The Chief Minister briefed the Prime Minister about steps for enhancing agricultural productivity and promoting farmer welfare, creating job opportunities for the youth of Tripura, and establishing premier institutions like AIIMS, IIT, and IIM in the state to promote education and research, officials added.

Dr Saha met Union Health Minister J P Nadda on Friday in New Delhi and discussed the state's initiatives for the development of healthcare infrastructure and the projects for boosting the health sector in Tripura, as the government has been embarking on making the state a hub of education, healthcare, and tourism.
